Vitamin C has long been touted for its great health benefits. It can be found in high concentrations in citrus fruit, guavas, and chilies. When we start to get a cold or the flu, we are encouraged to take a high dose vitamin C tablet to help boost our immune systems. Recently, the benefits of Vitamin C for the skin have become to come to light. It can be found in various skin creams and serums, and for very good reason. Pigmentation comes in many forms. Possibly after your last pregnancy, you realized that your skin has fine white marks on it or even darker spots. Vitamin C counteracts this by reducing the effect that free radicals have on our skin. Antioxidants such a Vitamin C have long been used to promote healthy skin, but most have been absorbed through food.
